Cirencester
Our Head Office is based in a rural location in the beautiful Cotswolds, and most of our staff live within a 25 mile radius, encompassing towns and cities such as Swindon, Bristol, Malmesbury, Gloucester and Cheltenham.
The nearest town is Cirencester (Roman Corinium) which is 6 miles away, populated with most of the main high street shops and coffee houses, and boasts its own amphitheatre and an excellent museum. However, if you are a night bird, you may want to consider living slightly further afield in one of the bigger towns or cities.
Our offices are situated within a former RAF building which was converted to high quality offices in 2003. We have an open-plan layout over two floors, with a modern, airy finds processing area and laboratory.
Ideally you need your own transport, either car or bicycle (we have plenty of free parking and bike sheds), although many people car share. There is a local bus service but it is limited and, although there is a rail service to Kemble, the station is 2 miles from our office along a busy road with no footpath.
Milton Keynes
Our new regional office opened on 22 August 2011 just outside the market town of Newport Pagnell, perfectly positioned 1.5 miles from Junction 14 of the M1 and 6 miles from Milton Keynes.
It is a self-contained two storey unit within a modern, purpose built business centre, providing ample office space, ground floor storage with space for finds processing, and room for future expansion.
Office facilities
We aim to provide the same level of facilities at both our bases including the provision of lockers for storage of PPE, and for those cyclists wishing to “freshen up”, and our kitchen and dining facilities are supplied with as much free tea and coffee as you can drink.
Site facilities
Naturally our sites come in all shapes, sizes and locations, but company transport is always provided from our office to site. Welfare units are provided where they are not shared with the principal contractor, and tea/coffee is still free!
